The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) expanded its eRegulations web tool to include six additional regulations, which it added at the beginning of the month.
The web tool is a platform that designed to make regulations easier to find, read and understand. For 2016, the bureau hopes to expand the platform to increase the number of regulations accessible on the website. In its latest expansion, the CFPB added:
The purpose of eRegulations is to make the rules covered by the CFPB easier to read and navigate, the bureau said in a news release, and includes various links and definitions throughout the texts and explanations of the regulations. It also clarifies regulations by providing related information and regulatory history throughout the text.
The regulations include a table of contents to quickly access various sections in the regulation, which are organized by subpart and section of the regulation and can be collapsed to increase space for the regulation text. eRegulations also includes a regulation timeline, which shows recent revisions of the regulation organized by date, and a search tool.
